Dental bloopers can come with a price! Literally! A beauty therapist, who claimed that there is debris left behind by her dentist, won a whooping payout of £28,000. Masami Ohta who sued the doctor had visited him to make her smile better.
Several people in the UK approach dentists from the areas like Whitton for teeth whitening. But not all of them turn out to be lucky.
Sufferer speaks:
Masami Ohta, who is a 43 years old female, started having a runny nose as the debris had accumulated in her sinus and blocked her right ear. She had visited the dentist for implants and root canal treatment. The clinic she visited claimed to offer finest quality treatment at low prices. When Ms Ohta complained, the doctor refused to pay her the liability. During one of her statements she said “It was a critical operation and as soon as I returned my hotel, I got covered with blood flow from my nose. The authorities had also forgot to let me know that I am not supposed to take a shower.”
Whom to trust?
With so many dental clinics in the UK claiming that they offer finest quality teeth whitening at the ‘most affordable rates’, it becomes really difficult to choose the right firm. There are many reliable clinics in Hampton that are visited by the patients and the dentists from these firms assure that the patients are comfortable with the treatment.
However, the case was different with Ms Ohta who was suggested by her dentist that she should also go through a bone graft surgery, also called ‘sinus lift’
So henceforth, when you go for a teeth whitening treatment from Hampton or any other place, you must make sure that the dental professionals of the clinic have several years of experience in conducting different surgeries and treatments.
According to the latest reports, this blooper led to the suspension of the doctor and Ms Ohta was given the pay out of £28,000!
